The Sex Pyramid

So I've mentioned this a couple of times, and I'm just getting to it today, because I wanted to digest the information for myself... The Sex Pyramid is much like the Food Pyramid, in that it lays out for us, in its simple form, the Bigger Picture, so to speak, of our sex lives, our sexual needs and a wholistic approach to our sexuality...

I think whether you're single, or in a relationship this visual, this "learning" tool and aid...can give you a better and broader scope of yourself as a sexual being, whatever your orientation is, or with whomever you choose to be intimate with, with whomever you choose to share your body with...

I found this interesting article on AOL, so please follow this link:

I think I just loved this idea of a more wholistic approach to our sex lives, so much so I really wanted to share it, for this reason: We're evolved enough as a species to not fall into the "sex for procreation" category, but we still need a visual, a guide to show us how much more we can get from our sex lives... I feel it's very important to have sexual contact with others, but that it's not just the bump-and-grind kind, all the time...

From the article:

Add New Moves to Your Romantic Repertoire

Subsisting on a diet drawn from one food group isn't healthy or gratifying. Even eating cupcakes 24/7 eventually would get old! And yet when it comes to feeding our sexual appetite, many of us rely on one mode to sate all of our romantic cravings. Turns out, women who order the same meal at the same restaurant every time, so to speak, are missing out.

And I really think this sums up the idea of the Sex Pyramid, it's a great visual, and what I want for you, my readers to get most from this is, DIVERSITY is good, bump-and-grind is good, but be open to trying new things... Intimacy for most men is like an end-all, it's the party pooper, in a sense... So get your meat intake, and some fruits, and some veggies, and some sweets... If "meat" is bump-and-grind, then "fruits and veggies" are like foreplay, and "sweets", well that's dessert, that's the post-play, the intimate moment after the fact... Get good full servings from all the parts of The Sex Pyramid and I think you'll feel better about your sex life, maybe even bring more longevity to it, and for certain, I hope it'll bring you closer to your partners, be them men or women... Additionally, consider trying one part of the pyramid a night or session and practice and try it out in new ways that brings you and your partner to new heights!

So, here's one version of the pyramid I thought would give you the best visual:
